Why community is important to DMOS People

DMOS People predominantly works with businesses across the West Midlands and mid-Wales, and we also place people the length and breadth of the UK.

But making where we live and work the best it can be is a big part of what motivates the team here. They know that the harder we work, the more money we can donate to local charities and organisations.

The Charities We Support

We support Shrewsbury Food Hub – who reduce food waste in the local community, Lingen Davies Cancer Fund – who make a positive difference to the lives of people impacted by cancer in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales, Climbing Out – a charity that helps adults who have had their lives derailed by a trauma, The Rural Charity – who support the local rural community, and The Movement Centre – who provide life-changing children’s physiotherapy.

All of these amazing charities are on our doorstep.

In April, we are sponsors of the Climbing Out Charity Ball and Awards night where we will be celebrating the hundreds of lives that have been changed thanks to the charity’s work. As newcomers to the awards, we have chosen to support The Climbing Out Newcomer Award and will present the award to the winner on the night.

Another new sponsorship for DMOS People is the Myddle Muddle. It’s a local 10K, 5K and 1 mile fun run which will raise money for a local school. That’s taking place on 21st April.

We’ve been proud to support Circus Starr for several years now. They understand that attending mainstream events can be difficult for children with additional needs or families in difficult circumstances, which is why they’ve created a fully accessible circus experience, where everyone can be themselves and enjoy a fun day out. They bring their circus to Shrewsbury every year.

The DMOS People West Mid Showground

We are the main sponsor of one of Shrewsbury’s best event sites. There are lots of great events coming up for the community to enjoy, including:

  • 3rd May – Camp Severn Kids Festival
  • 25th May – Shropshire County Show
  • 1st June – Vanlife Festival
  • 19th July – Woodshrop
  • 23rd August – Shrewsbury Folk Festival
  • 20th September – HEAL Music Festival
  • 2nd November – Bonfire and Firework Spectacular

It’s great to support the Showground in providing these days out for the people of Shropshire, and also attract tourists from further afield, boosting the local economy.

Local Sports

After sponsoring The DMOS People Arena at the Shrewsbury Club for the world tennis tour last year, we are excited to hear the Shrewsbury Club has been chosen by the International Tennis Federation and Lawn Tennis Association to stage the prestigious Lexus W100 Shrewsbury event in 2024. It’s the biggest women’s tennis tournament in the UK outside of the grass-court season and we’re thrilled to be involved.

As well as sponsoring the away stand at Shrewsbury Town FC, we are shirt sponsors for the women’s team. We also sponsor the first hole at Welshpool Golf Club.

By supporting these brilliant causes we hope we can make our community the best it can be, and help keep these organisations strong so they can continue for years to come, creating opportunities and experiences for local people.
